Super Dreadnought safe opened in Wimborne, Dorset.
This underfloor safe suffered from what most underfloor safes suffer with and that is debris being pushed into the lock over many years. This then caused a lock out. The owner called Markey Locksmiths & safe engineers when they found the key would no longer turn in the lock. We attended and opened the safe causing no damage whatsoever. The safe lid was then stripped apart and thoroughly cleaned. When re-assembled the owner couldn't believe how well the locking mechanism worked. Another happy customer.. |

Securikey Protector Minor opened in Bournemouth Dorset.
Underfloor safes can be difficult to work on given the very nature of the way they are fitted into the ground. Many can go unnoticed before someone moves some carpet or a piece of furniture and then unearths one... This safe had been fitted in a care home but no-one ever passed on the combination through a succession of managers. Until one day some important paperwork was reported to be inside but no-one knew the combination. Markey locksmiths & Safe engineers attended and manipulated the safe open causing no damage whatsoever. A new combination was set and the safe put back into use... |
Securikey Safeguard underfloor safe.
This safe had not been used for some time and was installed in a motor trade business in Boscombe, Bournemouth. Originally the owner stated he had the key but it would not work in the lock. After seeing a quick picture it was clear the owner had the incorrect key for the type of lock fitted to this safe. Markey Locksmiths & safe engineers attended and collected the safe lid. We then serviced the safe lid and supplied two new cut keys having changed the levers within the lock so the old keys would no longer work. Safe was back in use within 24 hours. A very happy customer. |
Lockmasters Underfloor safe
When the new owners of an old house in Poole started renovating their house they found an underfloor safe that they never knew existed. Interested to see if it contained anything they contacted the company that installed the safe. Having received a quote from this company they then contacted Markey Locksmiths & safe engineers who quoted to open the safe and put it back into use. Our price was immediately accepted as being half the price of their initial quote. We quickly attended and opened the safe. As is usually the case the safe was empty apart from some paperwork amongst which was the original invoice dating back to May 1978. Churchill Vector underfloor safe opened in Blandford, Dorset.
This Churchill Vector safe is an underfloor safe with a double bitted safe lock fitted. This was a case of key inserted into chute which is used for cash capsules so they can be put into the safe without opening it. Only problem was this was the only key the owners had for the safe. Please please if you only have one key to your safe pay the money and get a proficient locksmith to cut a spare. Fortunately we were able to attend swiftly and picked the safe open and the key was retrieved. One very happy customer. |

Underfloor safe.
I was contacted by a customer who needed this underfloor safe opening after after a bereavement in the family. This types of opening are quite common.
I attended the property and and quickly set about picking open the safe. Even though the customer did not want to re-use the safe and didn't mind it being damaged i was always carry out a professional opening.
15 minutes later and the safe was picked open.
I then also picked open a small display cabinet lock for free whilst onsite.

Dreadnought underfloor safe from a high street shop that had a jammed key. Luckily it was in the open position and so Markey Locksmiths only charged for servicing the lid and safe lock. This was promptly returned to working order. If you have a Dreadnought underfloor safe and it starts to jam call a safe engineer to carry out a service before it jams completely. It is a much cheaper option.

When the owners of this Churchill underfloor safe found they could no longer open it they called Markey Locksmiths & safe engineers. We attended the next day and diagnosed the fault. The lock itself had come away from its housing. This meant that not only was the safe still locked but the extra security feature had activated. Knowing this we still proceeded to open the safe so the owner could retrieved the contents.
The working parts were then serviced and the lid repaired putting the safe back into working order.
