Having never seen anything like this before, I get called to open Two in quick succession. These are lovely old safes and even nicer if they have their original key still. Unfortunately this one did not. This safe was dug up and recovered by workmen. One of them being gifted the safe had owned for some time before deciding to get it opened. Markey Locksmiths & safe engineers opened the safe and as well as being full of water did contain one item!! Just one. But then good safe engineer never reveals what he finds. Suffice to say the customer was very happy... |

The owner of this safe had recently moved home. During the move it appears the removal people had bent the handle when trying to move the safe around. Whitfield safe picked open in Poole, Dorset.
This lovely old safe is located in a main Hospital and the contents were required fairly urgently. Fortunately when we received the call were able to attend promptly. The biggest problem with Jobs like this isn't the opening, but finding somewhere to park close by!!!!!! Having carried my tool box for what seemed like a short marathon i we arrived at the safe for a very short pick open. A re-keyed lock at the safe was put back into use. Another marathon back to the car with also a short stay in the cardiac ward. |

Whitfield safe repaired in Bournemouth, Dorset.
This safe is located in an old church in Bournemouth. Unfortunately this church was subject to a break in one night and the thieves thought that by breaking the handles they could access the safe. Wrong, all that did was make access even more difficult. Markey Locksmiths and safe engineers attended and opened the safe. This safe is a lovely old double door Victorian safe and although the owners just wanted it put back into use, we could not fit any old handles. We have been in the safe game for a number of years and either have or can source many obsolete parts. On this occasion we were able to replace like for like and the end result is stunning. A lovely old safe bought back to life. |

Milners safe opened in wareham, Dorset.
Well, this safe possibly holds the title of the longest locked safe that i have been asked to open. The owners estimated that it had been locked shut for probably more than 60 years.......... So everyone was keen to see if there was anything inside. And there was......Two bottles of wine, which may have been a very good vintage. The only problem being that the corks had deteriorated, allowing the contents to leak out into the safe. Still, a pleasure to open another old locked safe for a local customer. If you have a Milners safe that needs opening call Markey locksmiths & safe engineers......... |
Milners Safe opened in Winchester, Hampshire
This was another lovely old Milners safe that had been found in the basement of a house by the new owners. Markey Locksmiths quoted a fixed price to open the safe which was duly accepted. This particular range of safes can be fitted with a number of different locks. Having now opened quite a few of these meant that we were able to identify the lock fitted and have it opened swiftly. Unfortunately for the new owners the safe was completely empty, but was in near perfect condition inside. This safe was then put back into use. |
